2021/22 Golfing Season begins at the end of March

Hello fellow golfers,

We hope this update finds you safe and well as we all look forward to the start of another golfing season at Lochcarron Golf Club!

Last season was not without its challenges but proved – with the help of Grant Aid as well as the invaluable support from members of the Committee and other volunteers – to be more successful than was anticipated.  We now wish to improve on last year and, with your help, continue to make Lochcarron Golf Club a greater local asset and tourist attraction.

It is with this in mind that the Committee has decided, with the help of those grant monies, to improve the drainage on the course in an effort to aid grass quality, cutting and improve the playing experience for members and guests alike.

This will involve some initial disruption in the early part of the year when the works will be carried out – weather conditions allowing – and it is with this in mind that it was decided there should be no increase in Member’s Subscriptions or Green Fees for the coming season.

Offers

We are always looking to encourage new members to join up and, to this end, we will be offering incentive discounts again this year as follows:

  • we will be offering a discount of £50 off the full membership rate for all new members for a period of one year;
  • we will be offering a discount of £50 off the full membership rate for any existing member introducing a new adult member again for a period of one year (capped at £50 per existing member)

Also, in conjunction with our club franchisee, Albatross Café, we are offering a 10% discount on any food or drink purchased at the Café on production of a current Membership Card/Fixture List.

Can you help us?

This year we are hoping to attract sponsorship for each hole and for the club itself so if anyone knows of any candidates please contact us at info@lochcarrongolfclub.co.uk

We are also seeking a Club Secretary to replace Wang Liston who, after many years of excellent service to the club, wishes to stand down – if you know of a possible replacement please contact the club.

We look forward to seeing you on the course playing in our Club Competitions.

Best wishes for the 2021/2022 season and enjoy your golf!
